Recently I had some thoughts regarding the restaurant industry, and because most of the dining I do is in my local area I will have to speak from my experience here. There has been this huge push for local, fresh, farm to fork type dining and I am a huge fan of it. I’ve also noticed the push toward taking certain foods, reinventing them, and creating a new craze. Our Three Favorite Wines from April
Here we are…again. Another month gone that we’ll never get back and it’s a Monday…haha…just kidding. No negativity here. April flew by as all time does for us, nothing like having careers and a baby to soak it all up. Read more…
Thoughts on Sustainability and Earth Day Food & Wine Festival
Earth Day Food and Wine Festival has been one of my favorite events since we were introduced to it 4 or 5 years ago. You’ve heard me talk about how laid back it is but all for such a great cause…sustainability. The last few years Annie and I have been doing things in our life together to work on being more sustainable when it comes to money, food, food waste, consuming stuff, and so on. Much of our inspiration has come from this event and the folks that put this event on…the Central Coast Vineyard Team, which is behind the SIP (Sustainability in Practice) Certification for vineyards and wineries. Paso Robles Beer: BarrelHouse Brewing
Yep, I said beer! Paso Robles is definitely known for the wine, which I love, but I’m excited to see more of a beer scene here, with the arrival of another microbrewery…BarrelHouse Brewing Company. Everyone knows Firestone Walker Brewery is here and I love their beer, but it’s nice to have some variety…you know?
And no, I have not forgotten that Downtown Brew and Paso Robles Brewing are here too. I’m just bringing this NEWEST brewery to light. Read more…
Customer Service Will Be the Death of Me

Paso Robles Brewing Company, The Pour House, and Fundaro’s FoodStream
Last week we had the chance to go check out these two new places here in Paso Robles. It actually ended up being two birds, one stone because we found out that Fundaro’s FoodStream would be parking their Streamline at Paso Robles Brewing and Pour House for the evening so we could get great beer as well as awesome food. What To Do for Annie’s Birthday???
Soooooo…it was Annie’s birthday on the 29th of December and it was a bit different than normal because we have the adorable, amazing, cutie pie named Sammy which requires a little extra thought. I left it up to Annie for the most part and she had decided that we would go downtown right here in Paso Robles. Luckily for us, we absolutely love hanging out downtown, especially during the wintery Christmas time…it’s just beautiful. Read more…
Christmas Day Spread
Our Christmas this year was spent relaxing around the house with Sammy, good friends, and close family! We invited people over for an open house, opened a bunch of great wine and made up a feast of tasty treats! The idea was that we could enjoy spending time with those we love on Christmas day, while creating new traditions with our new little one. Read more…
