Enoteca: The Restaurant and Bar at La Bellasera

So, as you may know, Annie and I feel that food isn’t just food. Sure, there’s the basic “food to survive” thing we all know about but one thing Annie brought into my life almost six years ago was the experimentation and adventure that food can be and sometimes is. A great food experience is like reading a new book or traveling to a new place…it can open the mind, and it’s for this reason we try to seek that out…often! We recently went and stayed at La Bellasera Hotel for a mini local staycation and decided to have dinner both nights in the restaurant, Enoteca. In another blog post coming soon I will talk about the hotel and our room, but for now I will fill you in on the food…and the restaurant.

All About Enoteca Restaurant and Bar

Annie and I absolutely love sitting at the bar when we go out to eat. We love being in the middle of the action and for us, we feel we get better service and a more one-on-one experience with the bartender and staff. We’ve eaten at Enoteca many, many times in the past and have always had great meals with great service. We’ve been here enough times that we have become friends with both bartenders, Dennis and Patrick, as well as some others on the staff.

These two recent nights, Patrick was the one on duty and taking care of us and as usual he did an amazing job. One of the things that he does so well is remain calm no matter how busy the restaurant may get. The staff just seems to work so well together and it adds to the overall ambiance and vibe of the place. It’s a must-try spot in Paso Robles, so add it to the list and maybe we’ll see you at the bar!!

In the pictures below you will see the dishes we had as well as a few shots of the inside of the restaurant. Some of them are slightly dark due to the low lighting of the bar but you’ll get the idea. And I have to add a personal note on the bacon wrapped filet mignon topped with blue cheese dish that we shared (which came with shallot mashed potatoes and asparagus), it was an absolutely amazing combination of flavors that was all prepared perfectly. It was one of those nights when everything aligns…great company (my amazing wife), awesome flavors, and beautiful surroundings all combined with a fun and easy going bartender.
