Huge Slabs of Meat, Cocktails and Cool People…A BBQ in the Sticks!
So, not a whole lot to say here…we had great wine, we had Mojitos, we had incredible food, we spent quality time with great friends, and we just overall enjoyed ourselves! If you ever get the opportunity to do any of these things, we say “go get ‘em!!!” If you have the opportunity to do them all on one day, we say “GO FOR IT!!!” Better yet…if you don’t have the opportunity, go get your Evite account updated and CREATE an event!
Thank you to Henry and Sandra Rushing for hosting such a great event…and to John Carson of Killer Eatz for watching over those precious, huge slabs of beef and pork!
Check out this view….

OMG that view is awesome, where is this? What a beautiful huge cabin too, never heard of Corn Hole that looks like fun. Thanks for sharing your lovely week-end with us. Cheers!

Hi Bev! This is way out past Justin Winery…about 40 minutes NW of Paso. Corn Hole is pretty fun, it will entertain people for hours!!!

Is this place a private resident, or open to the public. Trefethen Family Vineyards in Napa is having that game played on their 125th anniversary at the winery. I’m going to see if I can find that game or have to order it on Amazon, so I can have it to bring to a party we are attending for the holiday. Do you know where to buy it (Walmart, Target?).

This is a private residence, Bev…and a really cool place! Here’s a link to some Corn Hole shopping spots: http://bit.ly/jMtfw9

We’ve seen several homemade versions of Corn Hole…so if you have some extra plywood hanging around you can whip one up!

LOL! I know EXACTLY where that place is! We watched it being built, hangin’ out on the lake. It’s directly above one of my favorite swimming/picnic spots ;D GOOD TIMES!

Hi Annie, FYI looks like I’ll be taking the Tic Tac Toe board back, when I told my son I bought it he told me he is making one, and that his girlfriends cousin will have one on the 4th to play and that the one I got at Target is a cheapy, so I guess I’ll be taking it back. I was totally surprise that he new what a Cornhole was…lol

Ever since I became a vegan I have frowned upon burning meat, however this Sat. in honor of something or other we are going to burn a large pile nof meat and such at the winery from 12;00 TO 3:00. If you’re in the hood stop by and eat a critter. Bring a bathing suit for show and tell after.

How’d the weekend go? Sorry we missed your BBQ…we stayed off the roads and watched fireworks from a friend’s back patio!
By Gary, July 5, 2011 @ 10:56 am
We stayed at home and watched from the deck at the winery, and then went for a swim in the mud hole.

Sounds like a good time, Gary! And it’s been so damn hot, that I’m sure a dip in the mud hole was awesome!
