It means “Three Rings” in Italian! That’s what! Three rings, that have come together to form a perfect synergy.
Tre Anelli is right next door to its sister winery, Consilience, and is creating incredible wines. First off though, the tasting room itself is beautifully done, a great spot to hang out, sip on wine, and people watch.
The wines that stood out for us were the 2008 Verdelho (very nice, refreshing wine), a 2007 Grenache (acidic, great with food), a 2007 Sangiovese (beautiful, another one great with food), a 2007 Centellinare (great nose, very nice finish), a 2007 Barbera (our notes simply said “Great!” And “want some red sauce with this!”), and lastly a not often seen 2007 Lagrein (fruity, rich, nice).
This was a fun stop for sure, pouring some intriguing wines that many people don’t see very often. Be sure to check them out, as well as their sister winery Consilience. Another one of those little places that have the trifecta down: good wines, good tasting room atmosphere, and good people!! Cheers!
