Yes, we said Charity Case, and they’re doing cool things. We’re not going to tell you all the story details on here, click the link provided and take a look on their homepage, left hand side, and read the couple of paragraphs describing how they’re donating all proceeds to charities that benefit children and families in their community.
Bottom line is this: any time a group of people get together to do something that supports families and kids, everyone should jump in and support them. On top of that, the 2008 Rose we had was pretty darn tasty. It wasn’t sweet and didn’t have the heavy jolly rancher flavor you often get with roses. It was dry, and light. We had it at room temp because it’s been cold outside and we weren’t feeling a chilled rose at the time we took the video.
We salute the Charity Case Foundation for doing something to benefit their community. Hoot N Annie would strongly urge all wine regions to band together and do something similar; in fact, if something were to come up in our area we would love to be involved.
Thank you to Charity Case for supplying us with their 2008 Rose!
